Who this policy covers
RenewRig provides software used by independent commercial insurance agencies. When an insurance agency identifies itself on a form, portal, email, or text message, that agency controls the insurance relationship and RenewRig processes information for it. This policy explains how information is handled through RenewRig's public forms, client portals, and messaging tools.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Contact details such as your name, business name, email address, and phone number.
- Commercial insurance information, including USDOT/MC numbers, vehicles, drivers, coverage needs, claims, and renewal details.
- Documents and answers you choose to upload or submit to your insurance agency.
- Communication records, delivery status, opt-in or opt-out status, and messages exchanged with the agency.
- Basic technical and security data such as timestamps, browser information, and IP-derived request information.
How information is used
Information is used to prepare and service insurance applications and renewals, communicate about quotes and requested documents, operate and secure the platform, maintain business and compliance records, prevent abuse, and improve the service.
How information is disclosed
Information may be available to the insurance agency you are working with and its authorized team. It may also be provided to insurers, brokers, underwriters, and service providers when needed to handle your insurance request or operate the service. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction. We do not sell personal information.
SMS consent and mobile information
We will not share your SMS opt-in or consent with third parties for purposes unrelated to providing the messaging program you requested. We may share personal information, including SMS opt-in or consent status, with providers that help deliver and support messages, such as platform providers, telecommunications carriers, and messaging vendors. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not sold or shared with non-affiliated third parties for their own marketing.
Text messaging is optional. You may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Additional program details are in the SMS Terms.
Retention and security
Records are kept for as long as reasonably needed for the insurance relationship, legal and compliance obligations, dispute resolution, security, and legitimate business operations. RenewRig uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may decline optional SMS marketing, opt out of texts at any time, and ask the insurance agency identified on your form or message to correct or update information it maintains. Privacy rights vary by location and may be subject to legal exceptions.
Children
RenewRig is a business insurance service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
